Farewell Iohan Gueorguiev, you will always inspire us!
Iohan Gueorguiev was, in his videos and in his stories in images, one of the cycle travelers who inspired us with the most purity, the love for the world and for nomadic life. So you can imagine the disbelief, the dismay, the pain felt in knowing that Iohan is gone.
Bike wanderer was the name that Iohan had chosen for his social profiles. A two-wheeled wanderer, born in 1988, he made his home in the most pristine places in the Americas. Of Bulgarian origin, Iohan lived in Canada for more than 10 years, but for over five years he dedicated his life to discovering the planet and sharing accurate and engaging biking documentary films on his YouTube channel.
From the frozen Arctic Sea to the Fin del Mundo, Iohan has dedicated the last six years of his life to travel always different paths across the Americas, to meet new people, to sleep in the presence of millions of stars. The world was his home, the bicycle the means with which he sought intimacy with Nature, the camera the vehicle to tell and share.
The genuine narration and the calmness with which he opened his heart in front of the camera made us dream and thrill. As often happens, unfortunately, behind his serene face hid demons difficult to fight.
What we are sure of is that his images and videos are an invaluable legacy for the world of present and future cycle travelers.
The biggest tribute we can pay him is to keep getting excited in front of his videos and be inspired by his adventures!
Thanks Iohan for being a wonderful free spirit!
Iohan Gueorguiev 1988 - 2021
«Third day on my first trip I met a cyclist and he said: "Don't forget to enjoy the ride" It took a while to sink in but attitude matters. You can be cold, miserable and complaining or just have the time of your life in the worst of storms!!! None of what I've been through would have happened if I waited to get all the right gear, all the planning and of course - felt comfortable doing it and things always seemed to work out in the end.»

ENG - I'm from Piedmont and I'm 33 years old, I have been living and working in Lombardy for a few years. After a start without any competence in this field, I then approached the bicycle world more and more. Today I can call myself a bicycle traveller and videomaker who would never ever stop. Cyclo ergo sum, I cycle therefore I am. I ride my bike trying to understand why it is so beautiful, rich, therapeutic. And every time I try, I do not understand it. So I must leave again...
